What started as a whispered “what if?” at Watches & Wonders 2024 has become the opening chapter of our new Concepts line—where no idea is too crazy and experimentation is the point. Marking HAUTLENCE’s 20th anniversary, RETROVISION ’47 reimagines what our watches might have looked like in the 1940s, then pushes that vision through a modern lens. Originally built as a one-off conversation piece, it stole the show with press, retailers, and collectors—so we’re making a handful for those who collect the beginning of things. This first release in our Concepts series is bold, nostalgic, unapologetically different, and intentionally scarce. Limited to just 10 pieces. Inside, a flying tourbillon beats with character—audible by design. In a world that loves to show its tourbillons, we hide ours behind the speaker grille and let the case act as a resonator. It’s unusual—almost subversive—and that’s the joke: you hear the complication before you see it, keeping the dial strikingly clean while winking at those in the know.
